The D&MV McDonald Scholarship in Music was established at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music in 2008 by the late Dawson and Margaret McDonald to support students of the violin, viola and cello to study in the United Kingdom with a selected master musician. The scholarship is available to a student entering their final‐year of undergraduate, honours or master’s degree to fund a residency in the UK for up to 10 weeks during January/February 2020. To be eligible for selection, applicants must be enrolled in a full‐time course at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music studying the violin, viola or cello.
