Today’s most innovative musicians bring fresh and exciting perspectives to the music of the past, whilst extending and maintaining the relevance of this magnificent tradition through the creation of new work.

At the University of Tasmania, we enable you to develop the instrumental and performance skills that will equip you in a multitude of situations, including solo and ensemble performances, improvisation and collaboration.

As a Classical performance student, you will enjoy interaction with other streams, providing the opportunity to workshop, premiere and record new works, and develop creative partnerships that can last a lifetime.
