MARTIN WALCH
Terra-Antarctica: An Arts Fellows Report from a Southern Summer

Martin Walch is a Tasmanian artist who works across a range of media including photography, video and computer programming. From 2011-2017 he collaborated on The Derwent Project with David Stephenson, which visualises in new ways the complex natural and cultural history of Tasmania's Derwent River system, which culminated in a major exhibition, The Derwent Exhibition, at the Tasmanian Museum And Art Gallery in 2017.

He has recently returned from Mawson Station where he was the 2017 Australian Antarctic Arts Fellow.

Martin coordinates the Photography program at the School Of Creative Arts, University of Tasmania.

In this special Art Forum presentation, Martin will share his recent journey to Antarctica and reflect on how experiences from this trip inform his practice.
