Dr Damon Moon is Creative Director of the Ceramics Studio at the JamFactory in Adelaide, South Australia. As well as being a studio head and designer/maker he is one of Australia's most prolific and writers and commentators on the historical and contemporary Australian ceramics.

As Creative Director of the Ceramics Studio at the JamFactory in Adelaide, South Australia, Damon Moon oversees a busy production and training facility within one of Australia's most highly regarded crafts and design organisations. He balances these activities with an exhibiting career, which this year will see his work featured in Milan as part of Milan Design week and exhibited at the Shepparton Art Museum, Bendigo Art Gallery and La Trobe Art Institute in a project where he responds to the collections. This talk will examine how design and manufacture, art, research and commentary all contribute to his practice.
