- Tasmanian Oak | Eucalyptus regnans, E.obliqua, E.delegatensis (PDF 924.0 KB) - Ranging in tone from pale straw through to a richer mid brown, Tasmania Oak is the preferred hardwood for the full range of applications.
- Radiata pine | Pinus radiata (PDF 1.7 MB) - Pale cream to light brown, is widely used for a range of structural and decorative uses including framing, glue laminated beams, veneer & plywood.
- Blackwood | Acacia melanoxylon (PDF 726.8 KB) - With tonings from light golden-brown to deep brown, this is the perfect timber for the creation of fine furniture and joinery.
- Myrtle | Nothofagus cunninghamii (PDF 228.6 KB) - Rich red, red brown, and almost orange tones in much of the wood, makes an excellent veneer and finishing timber.
- Bluegum | Eucalyptus globulus subsp. globulus (PDF 199.7 KB) - Is pale straw to brown, often with blue-green tones. Its hardness and density make it particularly appropriate for flooring in high traffic areas.

- Huon pine | Lagarostrobos franklinii (PDF 199.1 KB) - Is the prince of Tasmanian timbers. Its richness of colour and figure make it one of the world's most desirable furniture and veneering timbers.
- Sassafras | Atherosperma moschatum (PDF 212.3 KB) - With the most variable and dynamic colouring of the range, is a beautiful and pale creamy grey to white normally but can be streaked with rich browns and black heart.
