Hypochaeris glabra (Smooth Cat's Ear) is a common
weed of grassy places in Tasmania. The rosettes are flat, the leaves
are elongated and have a few rounded teeth, and the upper surface of
the leaf lacks hairs (except sometimes for a few on the margins. The
plant usually has many flower heads. It is usually smaller
(usually with rosettes less than 10cm wide) than its relative,
H. radicata, which also
has erect hairs. |
