The genus Helichrysum
as described in the Student's Flora has been split into many genera
Xerochrysum, Chrysocephalum,Coronidiumand Helichrysum),
and now includes one species formerly in the genus
As a result, Tasmania now only has three species of Helichrysum.
One is a montane rosette plant (H. pumilum); one is an erect
coastal herb (H. leucopsideum). and the final species (P.
luteoalbum) is a common weed.
