Tasmania has
three native species of Leptorhynchos. These are all
perennial herbs with narrow leaves and erect stems (sometimes
several arising from the same rootstock). The flower heads are
golden, button shaped and solitary on long peduncles. They occur in
a range of open vegetation types, especially grasslands.
