Gamochaeta purpurea (Asteraceae) 2:371

Gamochaeta purpurea (Spike Cudweed) is a moderately common annual weed in the warmer parts of Tasmania. It is an erect plant up to about 50 cm tall, often with only one or two flowering spikes. The distinctive features are the inflorescence (usually with many clusters of heads arranged in  an erect spike), and the leaves which are woolly on the underside and green on the top.
