The
Nyctaginaceae are a family of herbs, represented in Tasmania by one introduced species
(Mirabilis jalapa; four o'clock plant).
The corolla is fused, the ovaries superior. The plant has no sepals,
but has five sepal-like bracts. The flowers are large and often
multicoloured. |
