Persicaria
hydropiper (Water Pepper) is a common herb of damp places. It
appears to be native, although more work may discredit this. It is an erect or
ascending herb 50-120cm tall with more or less hairless stems. The
leaves are ovate, 5-12cm long by 10-25mm wide with hairy veins and
margins. The inflorescence is slender, lax 3-9cm long by 3-5mm wide. |
