Persicaria lapathifolia (Pale Knotweed) is a widespread weed in seasonally or
continuously wet places. It is an erect to ascending herb to 50-180 cm
high. It is usually usually glabrous but is sometimes quite hairy. The
leaves are ovate to narrow elliptic, 6-21cm long by 10-45mm wide,
dense with glands on lower surface. The spikes are dense and elongate
with flowers overlapping.
