Tasmania
has three native and one introduced species of Calystegia (Great
Bindweed). C. sepium (native) and C. silvatica
(introduced) are large twining plants with large flowers. C.
soldanella is a native prostrate coastal plant with slightly
smaller flowers (although still usually larger than those of the Convolvulus
species). C. marginata (Forest Bindweed) is a very rare
species in Tasmania - only known locally on Cape Barren Island. |
