family is represented in the Tasmanian flora by a few native species
of Crassula and some introduced species of Crassula
and Sedum. Most species have succulent leaves and occur in
dry areas. Crassulahelmsii is an aquatic.
Cotyledon orbiculare is a large and common garden plant with
large, circular, succulent leaves and red, pendulous, tubular flowers
(see picture on right).
It is a common garden plant that appears to have escaped a few times.
