Hibbertia
hirsuta is a small, slender, prostrate shrub found widely in dry
sclerophyll forests. The flowers have small, narrow yellow petals.
As a result the flowers are much less showy than those of the other Hibbertia
species. There are two free carpels and the stamens are on one
side of the carpels. There are only a few stamens - often only one.
The leaves are distinctly hairy.
