Archeria hirtella (Ericaceae) 2:452
|
|
Archeria
hirtella is slender shrub that grows in the understory of
rainforest in many parts of western and southern Tasmania. It is
very similar to A. eriocarpa but has thicker leaves and
tends to grow in slightly more open vegetation. Both species can have white or
pink flowers. It can also be confused with the rainforest Trochocarpa
species, but A. hirtella has only one vein visible on the
underside of the leaf, whereas the Trochocarpa species have
about 5-7.
