Dracophyllum milliganii (Ericaceae) 2:261

Dracophyllum milliganii is a short erect, shrub that grows in peaty, alpine and subalpine areas of central and western Tasmania. It usually is unbranched or sparsely branched and has conspicuous spikes of pale pink flowers. The leaves are long (10-50 cm long), with sheathing bases (like Richea or Sprengelia). The only species of those genera with which it can be confused are R. alpina or immature or hybrid individuals between R. scoparia and R. pandanifolia.

Some tree-like populations now included in this species are treated separately here (Dracophyllum cf milliganii).
