The robust
woody climber, Dipogon lignosus, has become naturalised in
Tasmania. It has large trifoliate leaves with heart shaped leaflets,
and showy purple flowers. This weedy South African species seems to
have as many common names as countries it has invaded (Australian Pea
Vine; Mile a Minute, Okie Bean, Lignosus Bean, Cape Sweet Pea,
Dolichos Pea) |
