Vicia sativa (formerly known as V. angustifolia; Fabaceae) 1:167

    

Vicia sativa (Common Vetch) is a common weed species, especially in pastures. It is a climber with tendrils. The leaflets are quite large - at least 4mm wide and usually about 20mm long. The flowers are large, purple and conspicuous (about 2cm long).
