| Gonocarpus (raspwort) is a
very common genus of terrestrial herbs. It is included as part of Haloragis
in the Student's Flora. Tasmania has six native
species, which can be found in most open or partially open
terrestrial vegetation types. The name raspwort refers to the rough,
scabrous surface of many species.
