one native and one introduced species of Ajuga. A. australis
(bugle) is a common and widespread native herb. It is low
growing and has the flowers clustered in the leaf axils. The foliage
varies from densely hairy to almost hairless. A. reptans is
an introduced species that has dark green leaves and flowers in
erect spikes.
