Asterella (Aytoniaceae)

Tasmania has 6 recorded species of Asterella.

Asterella drummondii is the most common of the Asterella species and is typically found in wet microsites in dry vegetation types.

Asterella tenera is a similar but much smaller species.

Many of the species of Asterella are known only from old records and might turn out to belong under the two aforementioned species.
