Austrolejeunea is a genus of leafy liverworts represented by five species
in Tasmania. Distinctive features of the
genus are: one under-leaf per pair of lateral leaves and the narrow
insertion (only a few cells wide) of the leaf lobe to the stem.
Austrolejeunea, as it is currently known, includes species
previously placed under Nephelolejeunea and
Siphonolejeunea.
