Cheilolejeunea (Lejeuneaceae)

Cheilolejeunea is represented by four species in Tasmania.

Fresh material can easily be identified to genus by the one to two granular (grape-cluster type) oil bodies present per cell. These oil bodies disintegrate when the plant dries out, making dried very hard to differentiate from other species from the genus Lejeunea.
