Paracromastigum is a genus of leafy liverworts and in
Tasmania is represented by 2 species.
This genus includes what was previously known as Hyalolepidozia
(ie. H. longiscypha). The genus is very similar to some species of Telaranea,
particularly those with spine-like leaves (T. herzogii/T.
tasmanica) but the leaves in Paracromastigum are
assymetrical.
