Zoopsis is a genus of extremely minute liverworts and in
Tasmania is represented by 3 species.
For the uninitiated, Zoopsis species
may be misinterpreted to be a thallose liverwort. However, under a high magnification
it can seen that the 'lobes' are
actually leaves consist of only a few inflated cells, attached to a stem.
