Acrochila (Plagiochilaceae) |
|
Acrochila is represented by only one species in Tasmania,
Acrochila biserialis. A. biserialis is a small leafy liverwort
often growing epiphytically in clumps on rainforest trees. When dry,
the leaves on the shoots appear laterally compressed. The teeth
on the leaf margins have large claw-like teeth, which
sufficiently distinguishes this species from other leafy liverworts.
