Paraschistochila (Schistochilaceae)

Paraschistochila is a genus leafy liverworts and in Tasmania is represented by 3 species.

These are mostly rainforest species or species of subalpine environments.

The primarily epiphytic Paraschistochila tuloides is probably the most common and appears to have a preference for Sassafras (Atherosperma moschatum) bark.
