Drepanocladus (Amblystegiaceae)

In Tasmania, Drepanocladus is represented by a 3 species.

Members of these genus are robust mosses usually occupying swampy areas or growing submerged near the edges of ditches, ponds or lakes.

The mosses Sanionia uncinatus and Warnstorfia fluitans were previously placed under this genus. The latter species has been transferred to the Calliergonaceae.
