Eurhynchium (Brachytheciaceae)

In Tasmania, Eurhynchium is represented by 2 species, E. asperipes and E. praelongum.

These are mosses found in wet forest. E. praelongum (previously Kindbergia praelonga) is the more common of the two and is frequently found in dug-out drains by wet forest tracks and also commonly in urban areas where humidity is sufficient.
