Fabronia (Fabroniaceae)

In Tasmania, Fabronia is represented by a single species F. australis.

The leaves of Fabronia is unusual in the moss world by virtue to having ciliate (hair-like) teeth. This character is much more typical of liverworts. F. australis is a mat-forming terrestrial moss of dry forest.
