Weissia (Pottiaceae)
       
Weissia has a single representative in Tasmania, W. controversa.

W. controversa is a cushion-forming terrestrial moss of bare earth banks in grassland, woodland and forest. The shoots are yellow to dark green and the leaves are linear to long-triangular. The leaf margins are incurled. Capsules are oblong and common, and are borne on thin golden stalks.
