Rhabdodontium (Pterobryaceae)
       
In Tasmania, Rhabdodontium is represented by a single species, R. bufftonii.

R. bufftonii is a rare endemic species found growing near rivers in western Tasmania. It has a long stem with few short side branches. The lower portion of the stems are denuded of leaves. The leaves have a short acute apex, are concave, and are closely overlapping on the stem.
