ACERACEAE Not in the Student's Flora

The Aceraceae (the maple family) are an important Northern Hemisphere family, and a number of species of Acer are grown horticulturally. One species of maple (Sycamore; A. pseudoplatanus) appears to have become naturalised along a few rivers or creeks in eastern Tasmania. It has large, opposite, deciduous, palmately lobed leaves.
