The
Loganiaceae is represented by a few closely related genera of herbs
(all described in the Students Flora of Tasmania as members of Mitrasacme).
Schizacme archeri is a cushion plant with distinctive "dinner
plate" leaves, and the other species are small, native herbs, occurring
in a range of habitats. The fruit are very distinctive - flattened
and either with two horn-like projections or with the styles joined
to form a hoop. |
