Vinca
major (Periwinkle) is a naturalised garden escape. It occurs
widely in reasonably well watered areas. It is a robust scrambling
plant with shining, dark green, opposite leaves typically 5-9 cm
long and conspicuous blue flowers. Variegated leaved forms are
common in gardens and appear to have become naturalised in some
areas. |
