Lonicera japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) is a widespread and abundant
garden plant that has become established as a weed in places in
Tasmania (mainly in well watered areas). The leaves are opposite,
ovate and on very short petioles. It is very similar to the less
common Honeysuckle (L.
periclymenum), except that the flowers are in pairs in the
upper leaf axils and the fruit is black. |
