Plantago gunnii (Plantaginaceae) 3:564

Plantago gunnii is a very small, native, alpine rosette herb. It grows embedded in cushion plants in the Central Plateau and eastern mountains. The rosettes are flat, only about 1.5 cm wide and have scattered hairs. The flowers are usually solitary (sometimes two together) on short peduncles that become longer than the leaves as the fruit forms.
