Briza (Poaceae) 4b:208
The two species of Briza (Shivery Grass) are amongst the most distinctive of grasses in Tasmania. They are annual weeds, with flat leaves in a basal tuft. However, the distinctive feature is the inflorescence, which is more easily illustrated than described - see the pictures.
