Tasmania has
two introduced species of Catapodium. These smallish annual
grasses with stiff, erect stems and flat panicles with stiff
spreading branches. One species (C. rigidum) is common in dry
open areas, including city streets. The other (C. marinum)
occurs on sandy soils near the coast in the north. |
