Pampas grass (Cortaderia)
is a genus of vigorous grasses from New Zealand and South America.
Three species have become naturalised in Tasmania. The form very
large tussocks up to 4.5m high. The leaf blades are flat, with
sharp, serrated edges. The flowers form massive, feathery
inflorescences held well above the leaves. |
