Eleusine (Poaceae) not in the Student's Flora
Tasmania has one or two introduced species of Eleusine. Eleusine tristachya is an uncommon weed that can be seen along roadsides (e.g. in Cambridge).

The inflorescence is unmistakeable. The spikelets form dense, flattened, relatively broad, one-sided spikes that all arise in one place. In E. tristachya, there are two to five of these spikes. In E. indica there are more.
