Isachne (Poaceae) not in the Student's Flora
Isachne globosa is an uncommon native, semi-aquatic perennial grass.  The leaves are more or less flat and up to 10 cm long and 8mm wide. The inflorescence is an open panicle with small, plump spikelets. The spikelets are two flowered, sometimes with both fertile, but often with the lower male and the upper female. The lemmas and paleas are hardened and similar in size to the glumes.
