Ranunculus flammula
(Lesser Spearwort) is a rare weed that is only know from the
northeast, where it grows in marshy areas. It is a largish,
creeping, perennial plant with stolons or rhizomes. The lower leaves
have petioles up to 10cm long, the upper leaves are sessile. The
leaf blade is elongated (about 1-12cm by 2-12mm) and not lobed
(sometimes obscurely toothed). Several small, yellow flowers
occur on the flower stalks.
