Rubus (Rosaceae) 1:170

Tasmania has two native species of Rubus and a complex group of introduced species. One of the native species (R. gunnianus) is very distinctive. It is an alpine/subalpine rosette herb without prickles. The other species are all brambles -the native raspberry (R. parvifolius), the R. fruticosus complex (blackberry), logan berry and keriberry. They have compound leaves and prickles. The leaflets of R. parvifolius are smaller (<4 cm long) than the other two species.
