Tasmania has
three native and five introduced species of Galium. These
are all herbs. They include the widespread, common and distinctive Galium
aparine (cleavers). Like Asperula and
Sherardia, the stipules
are usually identical to the leaves, so that leaves and stipules combined
form a whorl of four to about 10 "leaves". The species can be
difficult to distinguish. |
