Tasmania has
three species of Leionema - L. montanum, an
alpine shrub with almost cylindrical leaves; L. oldfieldii,
another montane species, but with flat, entire leaves; and L.
bilobum, a species of dry heaths with thin leaves with a bilobed
or truncate apex. These species were all previously included in Phebalium.
