Wolffia
australiana is considered to be the smallest flowering plant in
the world. These are minute (<1.2 mm long), free-floating native
aquatics in still or slow-flowing water. They have no leaves, stems
or roots, only a tiny green thallus. The flowers are extremely
reduced. |
