Dryopteridaceae

Tasmania has four native species in three genera of the family Dryopteridaceae. They have multiply compound leaves and mostly occur in the understorey of forests. The family includes Polystichum proliferum, which is one of the most widespread and abundant of Tasmania's ferns.
