Botrychium (Ophioglossaceae) |
|
|
Tasmania has
one living native species of Botrychium plus another species
that is probably extinct. These are
small terrestrial plants, with very distinctive morphology. The
produce a frond that is divided into two near the base. One branch
is vegetative and is either pinnate or has more complex lobing. The
other branch is similar in branching pattern, but has narrow
lobes/leaflets that carry numerous sporangia. |
